Name: Bertie Wooster
Canon: Jeeves & Wooster (TV show)
Canonical point which your character is entering game: Between "Pearls Mean Tears" and "Jeeves in the Country."
Appearance: 6'3, brown hair, blue eyes. Tall and lanky with double-jointed everythings, Bertie seems ridiculous at first glance, but factor in the stunning blue eyes and the charming array of facial expressions, and the young man is terribly hard to resist.
Character's History: Bertram Wilberforce Wooster (given his unfortunate middle name from the winning horse his father had bet on the day before the christening) is a disgustingly wealthy young socialite from London of the late 1920s. Orphaned at a young age, he and his sister were raised by a gaggle of aunts and uncles, the primary among them being Aunt Dahlia (the nice, if rather loud one) and Aunt Agatha (the one that eats ground glass for breakfast and wears barbed wire next to the skin). Currently in his late twenties, Bertie lives a carefree bachelor's life in a flat off Berkeley Square with his valet, Jeeves.
Character's Personality: Personality-wise, the best word to describe Bertie is "generous." Generous of spirit, nature and wallet, he gives freely of his time, effort, affection and prodigious funds without expecting any recompense. He is a bright, open, affable gentleman with a heart of gold and a soul of platinum. If you're nice to Bertie, he will love you. If you're unkind, he may avoid your company, but will never shy from aiding you if need be. Be warned, though, help from Bertie is a crapshoot. It could make it better or worse, depending.
Intelligence-wise, Bertie is very, very verbose. He loves to chatter on a number of topics and has an enormous vocabulary. He's well-educated, having a first in literature at Eton, but is severely lacking in something called common sense. Consequently, a lot of his advice or attempts at aid will backfire due to poor planning.
~~
Bertie Wooster is from the novels of P.G. Wodehouse, and I do not own him, nor do I own Mr. Hugh Laurie, whose images I use for iconage. No money made, no infringement intended, only entertainment.
